Bahrain GP - do sponsors want this?

Do the paymasters of the garish Formula 1 circus really want THIS as the backdrop to the Bahrain Grand Prix?

The pit lane 'hangers on' might choke on the tear gas.

Of course Formula 1 is basically a fantasy castle and is to be enjoyed as such - but there are limits and this is way way over the line.
