The Haze was suprised and dismayed to see The Guardian grubbing through a tranche of e-mails from Sarah Palin's in-box that they 'acquired' for some reason or other.
Its not illegal as they were written while she was governor of Alaska and can be legally requested, but the whole thing leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.
The Haze thinks this is just trash journalism and actually a form of bullying.
We can see how this flowed in the minds of the journos of the Guardian - the e-mail avalanche of diplomatic telegramns that found their way to Wikileaks was journalism - this isn't.
That the Guardian then chose to publish all the e-mails online and invite people to poke around in them marking with labels like 'personal' or 'uninteresting' is also very dissapointing.
The Guardian has done down quite a lot in my estimation - this sort of stuff belongs in the Daily Star.
